Great Joy Anamorphic Adapter Review (Affordable Anamorphic Lens)

Anamorphic lenses can be incredibly expensive. Up until recently with Sirui, Vazen, and Atlas Orion hitting the market, a single lens could cost as little as $10,000! Most people can’t afford that and would resort to anamorphic adapters to get the look they desired. The only issue with that is adapters can be cumbersome and not very practical. This is where the Great Joy 1.35x anamorphic adapter steps in. In this video, I will be discussing my thoughts on the anamorphic adapter, as well as going over the specs and showing footage. I tested the anamorphic adapter on my Sirui 35mm anamorphic as well as my vintage Angénieux paris 12-120mm. I would have tested it on my Sirui 50mm anamorphic but has some issues you will learn about in the video. I think this is a very viable option for anyone looking to get into anamorphic lenses without breaking the bank, or someone who wants to make their current anamorphic lenses even wider!
