4 Days, 2500 Miles - A Cross Country American Road Trip Video (Shot on Sirui 50mm Anamorphic)

Back in August 2020, my roommate needed to get his car back to Virginia from Califonia so I offered to help. I packed a few clothes and my camera gear and we hit the road. I wanted to shoot this on anamorphic so I could really show off the beautiful landscape we would come across on our long journey. I shot this entirely handheld to keep my setups light, which worked most of the time but some of the roads on the way were kinda bumpy, but I think it makes the footage feel more authentic! I took this trip because I wanted to help my friend, but I also wanted to challenge myself to leave my comfort zone. I'm an introvert and kinda a homebody so most of the time I'm content with staying home, but I realized that life is too short and if I don't go out and experience it now, then I might never get the chance. So if you've ever wanted to go out and explore the world around you hopefully this gives you the inspiration you need to do it!
